Kitchen kungfoolery
The adstereo.net philosophy of cooking goes something like an amalgam of most good philosophies for life:
Cook like your cheesecakes always come out perfect. Don't fear the unusual, if you don't know whether your recipe will work, it'll all be clear soon. And above all, don't panic! Like all things in life, the way to innovative success at dinner parties is patience, determination and sheer hard [but fun] work. It's all about the journey - and remember to have lots of fun along the way
If you're ever in need of inspiration, read Like water for chocolate or Aphrodite, or if thats not your thing, just remember: if you have to eat every day, you might as well eat well
Recipes come in three varieties:
Recipes carrying the 'v' designation contain only dead vegetables, grains, cereals or other plant and mineral matter. The basic rule here: if it was able to move around freely before you killed it, it ain't in here. Algae are excepted. If you see a recipe with the green v that has animal derived products, let us know and we'll bump it into...
The category for recipes which contain stuff that animals make, but you don't have to kill them to get. Feathers, eggs, milk, all those things. It's Okay to kill vegetables and put them in these recipes too.
This final category is for recipes which may contain anything edible by humans. Proceed with caution - that includes cockroaches! |
Measures used are pretty standard, so there's not much else to talk about.
